Red Oak:

Delivering American Energy

What is Red Oak?

Red Oak is a system comprised of multiple pipeline projects that will safely and reliably transport crude oil from Cushing, Oklahoma, and the Permian Basin in West Texas to the Texas Gulf Coast. Red Oak will help to strengthen America’s energy independence and provide jobs for our hardworking families. Our pipeline system will be a collaboration with your communities and together we’ll position Oklahomans and Texans to benefit from America’s energy production.

Why we need this pipeline

In the past five years, the U.S. has become the top oil producer in the world. This reduced reliance on foreign oil and our newfound energy independence makes America more secure and is one of the key reasons why Red Oak is so important.

  • Maintaining America’s energy independence and security requires a pipeline infrastructure that safely and efficiently transports oil from production sites to areas where it can be refined and shipped.
  • The Red Oak system will strengthen America’s energy infrastructure, grow the economy, create jobs and generate revenue for communities across Oklahoma and Texas.

About us

Phillips 66 and Plains All American Pipeline (Plains) have formed a 50/50 joint venture, Red Oak Pipeline LLC, and are proceeding with construction of the Red Oak system. A top priority in this partnership is to protect the environment and be good neighbors to Texas and Oklahoma landowners. Most of all, we want to be good stewards of the land to which we are all so deeply tied.

We are committed to building this system of pipelines in a manner that prioritizes safety while respecting each local area’s distinct features.

  • The Red Oak team will attempt to design a route that parallels existing pipeline and utility corridors wherever practicable to minimize its footprint.
  • Where a new pipeline path is needed, we will strive to use advanced construction techniques to limit impact to the land and our communities.
  • During construction, we will meet—or exceed — the regulations set forth by our governing agencies.
  • Safety is our top priority and underscores every decision we make, every single day, without exception.

Construction of the Red Oak system is not expected to start until 2020. However, we want you to stay informed and up to date. If you have questions, please reach out by email questions@redoakpipeline.com or call (866) 940-1434.
